Pomegranate Communications, Inc. is a publishing house located in Northern California. Our primary business is with retail stores and distributors but our publications are also available directly from us at Pomegranate.com. Pomegranate has its roots in San Francisco's 1960's psychedelic art explosion. As a young man, founder Thomas F. Burke distributed posters from the Avalon Ballroom and the Fillmore Auditorium and worked with such seminal poster companies as East Totem West. More than thirty years later, Pomegranate publishes an impressive array of high-quality products. We still print posters, but we also offer calendars, books, and much more.
Just as smoky bars have been supplanted by espresso bars, and head shops and dusty bookstores by giant entertainment retail outlets, Pomegranate has changed with time. While we still publish work by young artists, our scope has expanded to include an incredibly diverse range of subjects. We hope you find our site entertaining and illuminating, and that you experience discovery, delight, and surprise.
