Theater Posters from the Library of Congress The postcards in this book are a flip-through festival of favorite shows (and a few with cult followings); among them are landmarks (West Side Story), classics (My Fair Lady), star-making productions (Once Upon a Mattress), revivals (Showboat), and experimental wonders (Via Galactica). The selection is drawn from the Library of Congress’ Artcraft Collection, a gift from Irene Dash and her brother Allen Golden that encompasses more than 1,400 items, including window cards and one- and three-sheet posters for Broadway stage shows from the 1930s to the 1970s. Artcraft produced posters for nearly every major production to come down the Great White Way, and the collection is a significant record of America’s performing arts heritage.
