None achieved this more readily than a young man from Glasgow who may have been Scotland's finest architect and designer in his own time and beyond.

A leader in the Art Nouveau movement, Charles Rennie Mackintosh (1868-1928) won international acclaim for his architectural, interior, furniture, and textile creations. The designs gracing the pages of this journal are a selection of adaptations from Mackintosh's signature high-backed chairs and stencils.
