B. “Hap” Kliban was an internationally known cartoonist, humorist, and illustrator. He is probably best known as the author of the book Cat, featuring his striped tabby feline---the best-seller that began over twenty years of Cat mania worldwide. His strong style and social commentary are unique and widely imitated, but impossible to duplicate. B. Kliban died in 1990 at fifty-five, but, as this book of postcards charmingly attests, his Cat and other cartoon characters live on. 30 full-color reproductions.
