| Red Flowers I BookmarkProduct DescriptionRed Flowers I (detail), 1998, by Robert Kushner. Kushner was a founder of the seventies’ Pattern and Decoration movement. Since the 1980s, the artist’s focus has been on floral still lifes. Bold colors, delicate drawing, and decorative elements of gold, silver, and glitter form the ground for his flower, fruit, and vegetable motifs. Kushner’s works are in the permanent collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Museum of Modern Art, The Whitney Museum of American Art, J. Paul Getty Trust, Uffizi Gallery, and The Tate Gallery, among others. | |||||
