Born in Southern California, Robert Kushner moved to New York City in 1972; there he became one of the founders of the Pattern and Decoration movement. His early works, painted on unstretched cloth, were often worn as costumes for performances. Since the 1980s, Kushner's focus has been on floral still lifes, both in paintings like those presented in this notecard set and in works on paper and prints. Bold blocks of color, lavish application of paint, delicate drawing, and decorative elements of gold, silver, and glitter form the underpinning for his flower, fruit, and vegetable motifs.

Sixteen 4 x 9 1/4" blank notecards (four each of four styles) with white envelopes in a decorative box. Panoramic-size cards do not require additional postage. ISBN: 0-7649-2463-X.
