Product Description

In 1966, Baron Edmond de Rothschild presented to The Library of The Jewish Theological Seminary a massive, fifteenth-century illuminated Hebrew manuscript in an almost perfect state of preservation. This extraordinarily beautiful mahzor (prayer book)—commissioned by a wealthy Italian family—was written in Florence in 1490 by the scribe Abraham Judah of Camerino and illustrated by at least three different art workshops. The 477-folio volume includes the prayers and piyyutim (Hebrew liturgical poems) for the entire Jewish year, including festivals and special Sabbaths.

Each of the notecards in this assortment reproduces a page from the Rothschild Mahzor.

Twenty 5 x 7" blank note cards (4 each of 5 styles) with envelopes and decorative box. ISBN: 978-0-7649-4452-9.
